Why I would be a good President:
For the past year, I have acted on Open Theatre’s committee as the Inclusivity Officer meaning that I am well versed in how the committee functions.
I’m very organised, and good at appropriate delegation meaning that the society would run smoothly with me as President and I would ensure that the committee and society members alike are well supported.
I have also acted on other committees while at university, so I have good experience of how LUU operates.
I’ve directed multiple shows with OT, working well in a team and demonstrating good leadership abilities while listening and collaborating with others.
I’m a super sociable girlie, who’s passionate about creating a fun extracurricular addition to your university experience.
What I will do as President:
I will create an inclusive space in Open Theatre, promoting diversity and opportunities for everyone, including marginalised groups.
I want to platform new writers and actors in addition to selecting shows that align with OT’s values.
It’s important to me that people feel able to communicate with myself and the committee, not only about what they’re enjoying but also concerning any issues they may be facing while working on the shows.
