Hi, I'm Isabelle, and I would love to be one of your 2024-2025 Social Secretaries! I'm passionate about having regular socials and events to help us build our fellowship in faith! I am an active member of the Catholic Society and Chaplaincy, and it has been such a blessing to be able to come and escape the craziness of uni life, and enjoy building relationships with other Catholics who inspire me and build my faith. I would like to increase our opportunities to meet with others, build friendships, and share experiences (especially the ones with food involved!) I want to support the President to ensure a balanced and manageable workload. In the scriptures we see the importance of gathering together to socialise and share food when in community, and I want to see this grow all the more next year!

Some social ideas could be:
- CEILIDH
- some FUN-draisers (bake sales, return of the much loved promise auction and bake off etc.)
- Some events after Sunday mass (Bring back the Bishop!, Movie and Pizzas, Q&A's, Games Nights, Quiz Nights) as well as tea and coffee
- Also having events during the week on other days, to ensure as many people can come as possible

Hello! I’m Steph and it would be my honour to be your social secretary this coming year 24/25. Keeping up the lively spirit within the Catholic community is something I hold close to my heart. I would love to create new exciting activities for us all to participate in; from scranning delicious foods, to having Christmas, Easter and Summer parties.
Joining forces with the rest of the Committee, we can aim to have a thriving CathSoc!

Initially, it took me a while to build up the courage to become involved within the community. However, after meeting everyone and being surrounded by friendly, kind and caring people, I couldn’t stay away! I want everyone to experience the joys of being a part of Cathsoc, which means I want to create as many opportunities for this to happen. I believe that having frequent events is key to making it an easy, friendly and relaxed experience for people to come along. Through these regular and exciting events, I want to build an even greater sense of community, where people, particularly new-comers, will always feel welcome to come along, and never feel as though they don’t fit in. My goal is to run events where people can just be relaxed, have fun, share experiences and food with each other, so that authentic friendships can pave the way to a deepening of faith.
