I have previously served on the Catholic Society committee at my secondary school in Hong Kong, which has given me a strong sense of familiarity with the roles and responsibilities involved. Therefore, I am eager to apply my experience to similar roles here at the university in the UK.

I have extensive experience in managing agendas and minutes for meetings, as well as maintaining membership records. During my time as an Intercultural Ambassador at Leeds, I was responsible for writing minutes and organizing agendas for my group of ambassadors. Additionally, as the General Secretary of my secondary school's Current Issues Association, I was tasked with tracking discussion information among committee members. This experience has equipped me with precise documentation skills, which I believe are directly applicable to the secretary role within CathSoc.

Regarding event support, I have significant event-planning experience and have collaborated closely with other committee members to execute successful activities. As the chairperson of my secondary school's Catholic Society for a year, I collaborated with Catholic schools from different districts of Hong Kong, enhancing my communication and collaboration skills with individuals who approached tasks differently. Furthermore, I thrive in a team environment and am eager to take on the responsibilities associated with my role.

Having previously been involved in the Catholic Society, I am confident that I can seamlessly transition into this role and make an immediate impact. Additionally, as I continue to deepen my understanding of the Catholic faith and maintain a passion for connecting with new people, I am enthusiastic about the prospect of serving as secretary. I believe that this role will not only benefit the Society but also provide me with valuable personal and professional growth opportunities.
