Hi, my name is Charlotte and I have been President of Leeds Album Review Society ever since I started it in 2021.

I would love to continue in this role for my final year of University, being a part of Leeds Album Review has been incredible so far.
I'm a committed member of the society, and I have hosted and organised the majority of our socials thus far.

There are so many things that I've wanted to do this year, such as uploading joint album reviews to the website, organising secret socials, and making merchandise. Some of these things I began to implement but found that I had little time on top of other responsibilities, and I'm hoping to remedy this with a larger committee next year so that I can give people the best experience possible in our society.

Being President of Leeds Album Review has been a huge learning experience for me, and I haven't always got it right, but I've always kept trying, and will continue to do so. I am very driven when it comes to this society, partly due to my passion for music, but also because it brings me so much joy to share that with everyone else.

When I created the society in 2022, I felt quite lonely. I'd had all these expectations of coming to University and making tons of friends, talking about music and going to gigs. I really wanted to share my passion for music with likeminded people.

As it turns out, though, the times that I've found the most fulfilment in this role have been when I've seen other people make new friends, bond over music and talk about their favourite albums in reviews.

This society is all of us, it wouldn't exist otherwise. I hope I can continue to give back what everyone has given to me these last two years.
