Hi members of the Economics Society,

I am Abhilasha Pathak and I am a first year student pursuing BSc Economics. I am running to be the media and marketing secretary for the Economics Society for the year 24/25. Throughout my school life, my choice of subjects was driven by my desire to learn more about economics which is enough to prove my interest towards the subject. A major aspect of my deep appreciation towards this field is because of its real-world applications. My vision for the society is to create a vibrant community where people explore, understand, and advocate for economics' principles.

During my time interning at a marketing firm and being the social media manager of a boutique, I gained valuable insights into creating and implementing effective social media strategies to engage audiences and enhance brand presence. Additionally being the head girl of my school has equipped me with the leadership and organisational skills necessary to inspire and empower others.

My adaptability, creativity, and strong time management abilities enable me to curate engaging and impactful social media content and events. I am committed to leveraging these skills to create a dynamic online presence for the Econ society.
