Being an external student
If you are resitting any modules as an external student there may be financial and practical implications.
As an external student you are:
- Exempt from council tax. You may have to contact the council to make them aware of your status.
- Unable to receive financial support from Student Finance such as a Maintenance Loan.
- Not liable for tuition fees.
- Unable to access funding or support through Disabled Students Allowance (DSA). An external student does not qualify for funding or support through Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) but may be still be able to access support funded by the University.
- Able to access the University Library and computing services but cannot attend lectures, classes or any other timetabled teaching activity.
- Unable to receive Leeds Financial Support (LFS)
