Getting home safely
Reslife has a great page on how to get home safely here.
If you are able to get up to LUU whilst on a nightout, you can use the Nightbus to get which is a free service run by LUU that will take you to where you live or as close as possible. You can find information on the nightbus's running times here.
On the page you will see all the up to date information on the nightbus run by LUU. As well as information on taxis and buses if you are out and about in Leeds and can't make your way up to the LUU building.
Other ways that might help you feel safe whilst getting home are:
- Making someone aware you are heading home and sharing your location
- If walking, stay in well lit and busy areas like main roads as much as possible
- Be on the phone with someone
- Have 999 pre dialled
- Try travel home with someone rather than on your own (buddy system)
- If wearing earphones or headphone, make sure you can still hear the surrounding noises
If you feel like you are in danger at any point, call 999 immediately.
