These technologies are what separate simple chatbots from powerful, action-taking AI agents that can interact with the world.

We'll start from the ground up, first exploring the core ideas. We'll then dive into some simple code examples to see how these concepts work in practice. You'll see how a model can be instructed to "call a tool" (like a function) to get information it doesn't have, and how MCP helps manage the conversation to make these complex interactions possible.
