Get Out Get Active - Bakewell and Chatsworth
Join Res-Life and GOGA on a walk from the picturesque Peak District town of Bakewell to the magnificent stately estate of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire - Chatsworth House.
Starting from Bakewell we will set off on a 5-7km long walk through the Derbyshire Peak District to Chatsworth House stopping regularly to appreciate the views and points of interest.
The route will take you to the entrance of Chatsworth House as the large mansion, famous as a filming location for films and programmes such as Pride and Prejudice and Peaky Blinders, creates an impressive sight in this beautiful landscape.
We will also have time to explore some of the 1000 acre parkland.
Please note this event is for students living in University of Leeds accommodation only.
You will need a packed lunch and drink as well as snacks for the walk. Please make sure you have outdoor walking shoes or boots appropriate for long walks as well as waterproof clothing in case of wet weather.
*Please note this trip will take you into the stunning grounds of the Chatsworth Estate but does not include access to the gardens or the house itself due to the high cost to access these areas.*
Tickets go one sale on Monday 17th April
