As part of the Active Campus programme, this year we will be launching a range of Learn to Play courses. On the Learn to Play Badminton course, you will have the opportunity to learn how to play Badminton over 6 weeks, from learning the basics of serving, rallying and rules to being able to play a match! Our Learn to Play courses are open to all current University of Leeds students. This course will be led by volunteers from LUU Badminton club, providing their knowledge and experience of the game to develop your skills. This learn to play course is designed as an introductory pathway to Badminton and sport at the University of Leeds, providing you with the skills and opportunity to pursue further activity at the University via clubs or Active Campus.

The 6 week course dates are:

Tuesday 20th October 4-5pm

Tuesday 27th October 4-5pm

Tuesday 3rd November 4-5pm

Tuesday 10th November 4-5pm

Tuesday 17th November 4-5pm

Tuesday 24th November 4-5pm

The sessions will run at the Gryphon Sports Centre (University of Leeds, Woodsley Rd, Woodhouse, Leeds LS2 9LZ). Please speak to reception upon arrival if you are unsure where to go.

You don’t need any special kit, and all equipment will be provided (but feel free to bring your own racquet if you have one). Wear trainers and comfortable clothing. We also recommend bringing some water. Showers and lockers are available on site.

Upon booking onto this course, you will receive a booking confirmation email including a QR code. Please present this QR code along with your name to one the session leaders at each session.
