LiberateLUU: LGBTQ+ Poetry and Spoken Word Event
LGBTQ+ History Month
✨A free evening of poetry and spoken word to mark LGBTQ+ History Month! The event will explore themes relating to the history, experiences and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community.✨
Hosted at Bookish Type, the evening will provide space both for listening to performances and for sharing your own work! We are pleased to be hosting this event in collaboration with 'The Scribe', a student-led zine society!
Bookish Type Location: 77a Great George Street, Leeds, LS1 3BR
Please note: the venue is accessible via an 8 cm step or a ramp. A toilet is available during the event, however, it’s unfortunately down 13 steps. We apologise for any accessibility issues this may cause.
Event Timings: 5-7pm
We will be meeting at LUU's Liberation Hub (lvl 1) at 4.15pm if you would like to walk down with us to Bookish Type.
We will be heading back to LUU at 7pm if you would like to walk back together after the event.
If you are meeting us at the venue then the event starts at 5pm.
