The University of Leeds Law Society is pleased to welcome Eversheds Sutherland for an exclusive Partner Workshop.

Members will have the opportunity to hear from Partners Barney Smedley and Paul Castle, who will be joined by trainees and Associates. The panel will share their experience of practicing at a leading global law firm, offering insight into the firm’s work, culture and their experience taking the lead in the firm's strategy in the role of Partner.

Programme:

• 17:00 – 17:45: Panel discussion and open Q&A
• 17:45 – 18:30: Networking with representatives from Eversheds Sutherland

Submitting questions in advance:

• Members who would prefer not to ask a question in an open forum are welcome to submit questions in advance. Please do this by emailing me at: alexandra.jennings.leedslawsoc@gmail.com. 
• All submissions are anonymous and will be put to the panel on your behalf. The deadline for submissions is 8/11/2026 at midnight.

Tickets and refundable deposits:

• Places are limited, so please buy a ticket to secure your place. Tickets are £5, but this is a refundable deposit. 
• You will receive the £5 back upon your attendance.
