Salsa Society- Bachata Class
Bachata is a rhythmic partner dance that originated in the Dominican Republic, characterised by its distinctive side-to-side basic step and the signature hip movement on the fourth beat. Modern styles of bachata often add turns, dips, and playful body isolations while keeping the close connection between partners at the heart of the dance. In Salsa Soc classes, we’ll teach bachata by starting with the foundational steps and timing, then layering in body movement, styling, and partner combinations. The aim is to help members feel comfortable with the rhythm while encouraging expression and connection on the dance floor.
