Get Out, Get Active Walking Trip - Flamborough, Yorkshire Coast

Join us on this guided walk to explore the beautiful scenery around the Yorkshire Coast at Flamborough Head. A popular spot for wildlife spotters - this is known for a wide range of sea birds and sea life from puffins and seals to dolphins off the coast.  

This walk is a circular route which will take you along the cliffs and down to the various beautiful bays in the local area. We will then follow it around the coast past the point at Flamborough head before heading back to the village of Flamborough. The trip will offer two guided walking options. There will be a shorter walk for those wanting to experience the views, and a longer walk for those looking to explore further in this beautiful setting.  

Transport: 

We will travel via coach departing from Parkinson steps at 08:00 and returning at 18:00. This is included in the ticket cost. 

What you need to bring: 

Please come in suitable footwear for uneven and unpaved terrain (walking boots or strong trainers). You will also need: 

Spare footwear to change into after the walk and a bag for your muddy boots or shoes 

Waterproof jacket and warm clothes 

Food/Packed Lunch and a water bottle for during the walk 

Money/Card if you wish to purchase items in the town 

We have a limited amount of kit for hire which includes walking boots and waterproof jackets. The hire form will be released on the week of the walk.

You will receive an email from GetOutGetActive@leeds.ac.uk on the week on the trip, this will include further information such as meeting time, activator contact details, route information, the kit hire form and the health check form - which you must complete by 4pm on the day before your trip.
