Join Leeds <hack_ai_thon>, a one‑day, on‑campus hackathon where University of Leeds students design and build AI‑powered applications that improve learning, teaching, and student wellbeing. No need to be an AI expert—bring an idea, form a team, use API, fine-tune your model or use no-code tools, ship a useful AI-powered solution and get a chance to win prize money and trophies!!

⭐ Theme: AI in Education

Leeds <hack_ai_thon> is a fast‑paced, 10:00–20:00 hackathon focused on “AI in Education.” Students will prototype practical apps that enhance study, teaching, and the university experience using the power of AI—think AI study assistants, lecture material assistants, feedback analysis, early wellbeing signals, and more. You can use LLM APIs, no‑code/low‑code tools, or your own models; use of generative AI is allowed to the full extent. What matters most is solving a real problem with a clear, positive impact.

• 📍 Location: Helix, EC Stoner, University of Leeds
• 🎓 Eligibility: Leeds students only
• 👥 Teams: 1–3 participants (solo welcome; team-forming available on the day)
• 💸 Cost: Free to join; food and refreshments provided
• 🏆 Prizes: Cash prizes and trophies for all members of the top three teams; certificates for all participants

• Student‑facing: AI-powered study planners, note/slide summarisation, accessibility and assistive tools, wellbeing nudges, etc.
• Educator‑facing: content generation, assessment and feedback support, insights on learning gaps, etc.
• University‑facing: feedback/theme analysis, smarter outreach, early risk signals, service discovery helpers, etc.
• Or any combination that improves learning outcomes, inclusion, time‑saving, or wellbeing using AI.
