Aikido GIAG
Come along for our annual Aikido GIAG! Aikido is a martial art from Japan based on self-defence techniques including locks, pins and throws. Shodokan Aikido introduces a sporting element where aikido skills are put into practice in live sparring with tanto (foam daggers) and toshu (unarmed) competitions.
This Give-it-a-Go will give you the chance to learn the techniques and skills we practice every week during training. Even if you've never done martial arts before, this is a great opportunity to meet others and learn more about the world of Aikido! (The joint locks are pretty cool, too).
Date: Sunday, 4th October
Time: 2:30-4:30pm
Venue: The Edge, Studio 2
Dress code: Please wear sports attire and remove loose jewellery prior to the session.
