Come chat to Amara, your elected Liberation and Equality Officer!

This student drop-in is a chance to talk to Amara about all things liberation! It will be an informal/inclusive space where you can talk about challenges your community faces, event/campaign ideas, ask any questions, and get to know more about Liberate LUU projects that are happening to help support minoritised, underrepresented students. Amara will also be supported by Erica, the liberation coordinator. Pop by anytime to room 2 (LUU, level 2) from 2:30-4pm!

Things you might want to chat about:

• Challenges yourself or your community are facing 
• Things LUU could do better to support your liberation group
• Campaign ideas to create lasting change for minoritised students
• Event ideas to raise awareness of issues or celebrate communities
• Ideas for history months/awareness weeks
• Policy ideas for better forums to support your community 
• The new liberation student committee and how to get involved
• The campaigns that Amara is working on  

Accessibility routes to Room 2:

• From Main Entrance: Go through the main entrance and take the first left turn, with the lift immediately on your left. Take the lift up to level 2. Follow the corridor round on level 2 until you come to your meeting room, all rooms are labelled on the door
• From Help and Support Desk: Go across the foyer towards the Riley Smith Theatre where you will find Lift 1 to your immediate left, then take the lift up to level 2. Proceed on the the corridor on level 2 until you come to your meeting room, all meeting rooms are labelled on the door

This is a ticketed event to gauge how many people are planning to drop-in but please still pop-in if you forget to sign up!
