Join us for the first winter trip of the year, as we head to Kincraig in the Cairngorms!

This is one of our famous Winter trips so you must have previously been on at least one LUUHC weekend trip, attended one of our winter briefings last term and have B2 boots (plus some more winter-specific kit, see https://luuhc.com/gear-lists#winter). Once buying a ticket you will be asked to attend a crampon fitting session prior to the trip. 

We will meet late afternoon on Friday 20th February at the School of English, where we travel by cars and vans to the Cairngorms. Transport, accommodation, breakfast and evening meals (except the night you arrive and leave the trip) are included in your ticket. We are staying in the Kincraig Community Hall, details of which can be found here https://www.kincraigcommunityhall.co.uk/ .

For this trip, you have the option of getting a 2-day or 3-day ticket. Regardless of which variant you are on, we will all be travelling up to the Cairngorms together. Those with a 2-day ticket will be returning to Leeds on Sunday evening. Those with a 3-day ticket will get an extra day of hiking in, and will be back in Leeds on Monday. 2-day people will be asked to leave us their main bags, which will be brought back to Leeds on Monday, and may be collected then.

For this trip you will need a sleeping bag and a roll mat. The club does have limited gear that members can borrow - if you’d like to borrow gear for this trip please email our Gear Secretary, Celeste, through luuhc.gear@gmail.com.

If you can no longer make it to the hike, please contact our Club Secretary, Florence, through luuhc.secretary@gmail.com as soon as possible. If we can find someone to replace you from the waiting list, you’ll get a full refund. If not, unfortunately we will not be able to issue a refund.
