Stay Safe from Scams: Ask the Experts - An Online Event for Students
Settling into university is a really exciting time. Unfortunately, scammers often target students, especially through social media. Common scams include rental fraud, money muling, "get rich quick" schemes, ticket scams, and the growing issue of sextortion.
To help students stay safe, the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit is hosting an ‘Ask the Experts’ evening. This online event will cover the latest scams, how to recognize them, and practical tips to protect yourself online.
The event will feature presentations from experts in the Fraud and Cyber Crime Unit and offer a Q&A session where you can ask questions directly to the panel.
