Liberation Student Community: Create Art for LUU's Black History Exhibition
CALLING ALL CRAFTIVISTS...
ALL STUDENTS WELCOME!!
Join us anytime from 12-4pm in LUU's Liberation Hub to create BHM artwork and resources and help set up displays for the Liberate LUU Black History Month Exhibition.
This exhibition is a project led by students in the Liberation Student Community and LUU's Equality & Liberation Officer with the support of Leeds University Union. It will be a week long exhibition in LUU's Liberation Hub 27th-31st Oct (LVL 1) and hopes to celebrate Black figures in Leeds and look at the theme of Black Liberation.
Art and resources will be provided but please feel free to bring your own and drop off personal contributions. Here are some ideas for what to create at the session:
- Create Resources and Info Cards
- Help research historical figures
- Create artwork like posters, badges, zines, poetry
- Print off photos
- Help create a display board
- Drop off your own art/resources you want displayed
