Hathersage Sunday Hike
Join us for our last Sunday Hike of the semester to Hathersage!
We will meet by 08:15 at the Parkinson Steps to take the coach to Hathersage in the Peak District. This area of the Peak District are known as the Dark Peaks, with striking cliffs like Stanage Edge, and some less exposed river stepping stones! Hathersage is also thought to be the inspiration behind Charlotte Brontë's Thornfield Hall from “Jane Eyre”.
The coach will aim to depart from Hathersage at 16:30, if your group is back to the village early you'll have the opportunity to visit the local pub or cafe.
As with all Sunday Hikes, we will split into 4 or 5 groups each with two volunteer leaders.
We want to make Sunday Hikes as easy as possible for you, but due to safety, you must have the following: walking boots with ankle support, a rucksack, waterproofs, appropriate layers, sufficient water (1 litre plus), and sufficient food. For more information on gear please visit https://luuhc.com/gear/sunday-hikes or email our gear secretary Celeste at luuhc.gear@gmail.com.
