Whether you don't know a thing about climbing, or you're a gritstone veteran, sign up for our Give it a Go sessions! We will arrange people into groups based off experience level to make it a fun and interesting day for everyone. And don't worry, those who can already climb will be able to use the session to meet friends and new belay partners, learn more about the club, and get info about climbing in Leeds.

Allocations are not entirely on a first come first served basis. Instead we will divide the signups into ability levels and then randomly select to form the groups for each session. 

Groups will walk down to the centres at 2pm, after meeting at Parkinson steps on campus. Climbing activities will run until about 5pm.

Big Depot (roped climbing) sessions will cost £6.50 on arrival, and this will include all the gear you need. Feel free to bring anything you have though. This is the LUUMC member exclusive price for Big Depot entry, with no added charge by the club.

Please only come along to a GIAG session if you're allocated a spot, and let us know ASAP if you can't make it so we can fill the gap. We expect a very high level of demand this year, and although disappointing, we may not be able to fit everyone into the indoor three sessions. Please don't worry about this, we run teaching sessions every Wednesday at Big Depot and this is absolutely open to new faces. Or come along on a Wednesday evening to meet everyone at the Packhorse!
