Classroom Communities Workshop
An interactive workshop designed to help Student Leaders explore how classroom communities can foster a sense of belonging. The session is split into two parts, feel free to come to either or both!
Part 1
- Welcome & Icebreaker: Get to know fellow reps and share your favourite campus spaces.
- Presentation: I Belong, I Matter: Key findings from the University’s belonging survey, what’s improving, and where challenges remain.
- Group Discussion: Reflect on what belonging means in your context and share experiences.
Part 2
- Faculty-Based Discussion: Explore priorities and share good practice for building classroom communities.
- Action Planning: Identify practical steps you can take to support belonging and note one action you’ll commit to.
- Networking: Connect with reps from across the University.
The workshop aims to:
- Raise awareness of belonging issues and survey findings.
- Provide space for reflection and discussion.
- Support reps in using forums to drive positive change.
- Share ideas and build networks.
