Ballater Winter Trip: Cairngorms
Join us for the first winter trip of the year, as we head to Ballater in the Cairngorms.
We will meet late afternoon on Thursday 15th February at the School of English, where we travel by cars and vans to the Cairngorms. Transport, accommodation, breakfast and an evening meal (except the night you arrive and leave the trip) are included in your ticket. We are staying at Ballater Youth Hostel, details of the hostel can be found here https://www.ballater-hostel.com/.
This is a winter trip so you must have previously been on a LUUHC trip, attended the winter briefing and have B2 boots (plus some more winter-specific kit). Once buying a ticket you will be asked to attend a crampon fitting session prior to the trip.
If you buy a 2-day ticket you will be expected to drop your bag with us on Thursday afternoon (as there is no space in the vehicles you will be travelling in), you will then travel to the Cairngorms on Friday afternoon and return to Leeds Sunday evening.
If you buy a 3-day ticket you will be expected to meet us on Thursday afternoon (prompt) to travel to the Cairngorms. We shall then return to Leeds on Sunday evening.
