Student Volunteering Week: Campus Gardening GIAG
Join us for two introductory gardening sessions on 4 and 11 February 2026, followed by weekly sessions every Wednesday, 1–3pm from 4 March 2026.
Learn everything from planting and harvesting to food preservation and sustainable gardening practices. No prior experience needed - just enthusiasm! These sessions are a great way to build new skills, meet like-minded people, and support a greener, healthier campus.
What to bring:
Comfortable outdoor clothing, sturdy footwear, a water bottle, and gardening gloves (if you have them—we can provide some too).
When & where:
Meet at the entrance to the Sustainable Garden, Chancellors Court, near the Roger Stevens Building.
Get involved:
Sign up for a session - come weekly or drop in when you can. For more information, contact sustainability@leeds.ac.uk
