The Rock and Alternative Society has organised a day trip to the amazing Whitby Goth Festival!

The Whitby Goth Weekend (WGW) is a twice-yearly festival in Whitby, North Yorkshire, celebrating goth and alternative culture. It features live music, DJ sets, markets, and parties, drawing goths, steampunks, and fans of alternative culture from all over!

It started in 1994 as a small goth gathering but has grown into one of the biggest events of its kind. Whitby’s connection to Dracula adds to the vibe, making it the perfect spot for a festival that’s all about music, style, and community in a unique seaside setting!

Please ensure you have bought a ticket before arriving on the day!

The bus will be leaving the Parkinson steps at 9.30am so please ensure you have arrived to the Parkinson steps at 9.20am at the very latest. We expect to arrive in Whitby at approximately 11.15am. When we arrive in Whitby, you'll be able to explore the festival unsupervised so you can go at your own pace and choose what you want to see. The bus will leave Whitby at 6pm so please arrive at the bus station at 5.45pm at the very latest! We'll arrive back in Leeds at approximately 7.45pm.
