Hebden Bridge Sunday Hike
Join us for our first TRAIN Sunday Hike of the year on the 28th of April.
We will meet by 09:00 at Leeds Train Station to take the train to Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. This picturesque market town, nicknamed ‘The Switzerland of Yorkshire’, sits in the Upper Calderdale Valley and is a short walk from the wooded valley of Hardcastle Crags, which inspired Sylvia Plath's poem of the same name.
Instructions for booking the train will be distributed in the week before the event.
We will aim to depart Hebden Bridge on the 16:48 train, if your group is back to the village early you'll have the opportunity to explore the local amenities (i.e. outdoor shops, pubs and cafes!).
As with all Sunday Hikes, we will split into 4 or 5 groups each with two volunteer leaders.
We want to make Sunday Hikes as easy as possible for you, but due to safety, you must have the following: walking boots with ankle support, a rucksack, waterproofs, appropriate layers, sufficient water (1 litre plus), and sufficient food.
