Hi, I'm Lydia and I am excited to nominate myself for the position of Treasurer of Marrow. I joined Marrow at the start of this year and have really enjoyed being a part of this society, I feel like we get to make a real difference to peoples lives through Anthony Nolan and everyone in the society has the same goals. I wanted to become more involved with Marrow so I became the Fundraising Coordinator in second semester which has been a really fun role, I specifically like the collaborative nature of this role, getting to work with other societies and groups to organise different fundraising events. As a part of this role I have organised many different fundraising events including glitter stalls at Fruity's and Kickboxing championships with the biggest event being the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge which I organised and took part in alongside the Falcons Cheer Society. This was a really rewarding event and we raised over £900 for Anthony Nolan.

I would like to be more involved with the society next year which is why I am running for treasurer, I believe my experience as fundraising coordinator has set me up in a good position to undertake this role. I am a highly organised individual who enjoys managing finances, and have experience communicating and working closely with other committee members as well as with other societies and businesses.

This year we reached Diamond Level, which is a huge achievement and I am committed to working hard to ensure Leeds Marrow is just as successful if not more next year!
