I have been vegan for over 6 years and I love building community over people’s love for animals and great vegan food. I have been in VegSoc in previous years and after seeing how the society runs, I have so many ideas for socials and ways in making the vegan community at Leeds Uni thrive even more :) I am very organised and enthusiastic to help run the society. I am a social person which will be useful as I know I will have to liaise and talk with many people including people working in LUU and businesses around Leeds. I also feel like I can be assertive to put the needs of everyone in the society first, which will be especially important for chairing meetings and I want to strive to be as inclusive as possible to make sure to society is a welcoming place for everyone. I am so excited to return to Leeds next year following my study abroad year and it would be amazing to become president of this society and meet all of you cool people!
