Hi, I'm Nova !
I've been vegan for almost two years and meat free for 6. I really enjoy connecting with other people making plant based choices for so many different reasons, and I have previously enjoyed so many fun veg soc events, it would be great to be part of the committee!
I have had experience on committee for other societies before, which affirms my confidence in my ability to complete the role of secretary. For my previous role, I had to attend and take notes of meetings with different members of LUU and other organisations around Leeds, as well as book venues for events that I was organising as part of that society. I was also responsible for a secondary email address for a separate function of that society, so I am again confident I can do this.
I am very friendly and approachable, meaning I am confident I can help with all queries people may have about the society, events, as well as connecting people and ideas between each other. I am also confident I can create a safe and inclusive space for others, which I feel is important as a committee member. I have lots of ideas for fun events (and venues for these events!) for this semester and would love to work with other committee members to have a wonderful vegan soc!
