Esteemed Warhammer Society enthusiasts,



I return to you in a time of great need. In the grim darkness of Leeds, a shadow has crept over the vibrant community we once knew. Four years ago, I founded this society with a vision: to create a haven where people could gather, not just to play, but to bond, create, and thrive together. During my three-year tenure as president, we soared to unprecedented heights:
• Largest Warhammer Society in the UK
• Over £2500 in grants
• 25+ Sponsors
• £2,000 raised for charity
• Recipients of the Inclusivity and Sustainability Riley Award
• Outstanding Contribution to LUU Award
• The ‘Warhammer Hero' Award



Our gatherings were more than just games; they were social events, bar trips, bowling nights, and creative workshops. We were a community, a family.
However, with growth came change, over the years of my leadership and in my absence, a transformation occurred. The society became more insular, focusing solely on gaming and painting sessions, neglecting the rich tapestry of experiences that once defined us. The camaraderie, the creativity, the inclusivity—all have diminished as the society grew around us.



I stand before you today, not as a mere candidate, but as a harbinger of change. My vision for our society is clear and unwavering:
1. Revitalize Social Engagement: Reintroduce diverse social events—bar trips, bowling nights, and collaborative gatherings—that foster genuine connections beyond the tabletop.
2. Society Renaming and Rebranding: Warhammer has held a negative stigma for years. We need to forge a new identity for ourselves that reflects our renewed commitment to unity, creativity, and professionalism.
3. Foster a Community of Friends: Shift our focus from being just a society to becoming a close-knit group of friends, where every member feels valued and connected.
4. Emphasize Creativity and Artistry: Highlight the artistic facets of our hobby—building, painting, kitbashing—to inspire and nurture the creative spirits among us.
5. Forge Alliances with Other Societies: Establish ties with diverse, non-geeky societies to enrich our perspectives and broaden our horizons.
6. Secure Substantial Funding: Obtain significant grants to enhance our equipment and secure better spaces, elevating the quality of our gatherings.
7. Champion Inclusivity: The society has a long running history of inclusivity. This will be increased further, creating a welcoming environment for all. Every student of all backgrounds should have a place in our ranks.
8. Host Grand Events: Organize large-scale events that showcase our passion and bring the community together in celebration.



The time for complacency has passed. We must rise from the ashes and reclaim the glory that is rightfully ours. With your support, we will transform our society into a beacon of creativity, camaraderie, and excellence.
