President

As President, you will the principal spokesperson for the society and will be responsible for how the society is run, and you will oversee other committee members and support them within their roles. You will chair committee meetings, AGMs and EGMS and ensure the code of conduct is suitably enforced within the society. This role is best suited for someone who is confident and outspoken, and is ready to take on new and exciting challenges and is prepared to take on criticisms and use them as a source of development for the society.
 

This is a Core Committee Role, and must be elected for the society to continue into the new year

Key Responsibilities:

• Organising and overseeing the running of LUU Rock & Alternative Society 
• Be the spokesperson for the society  
• Chairing Committee Meetings, AGMs and EGMs 
• Ensuring the production of an annual report 
• Ensuring there is an up to date entry in the Club/Society’s LUU webpage 
• Ensure code of conduct, including LUU Rock and Alternative Society’s zero tolerance policy, and risk assessments are communicated to all members and committee members. 
• Ensure that the Secretary and Welfare Officer uphold the LUU Safeguarding Policy and support them in that role.
