Not to be dramatic, but a society without organisation is just vibes and confusion. I’m here to keep the vibes and remove the confusion.

Hi I’m Troy Laoharavee, I’m Thai, and I’m a first year undergraduate student in chemical engineering.

I’m running for secretary because I want the Thai society to have plenty of sponsorships that would make the society stay connected with fun events, restaurants and discounts for our members. I intend to make the society become detail oriented, efficient, and communicative both with Thai society members and sponsors through concise, clear and coherent messages. Being responsible and on-track are key attributes that I want to bring to the Thai Society in order to keep the liveliness of the society.

In my previous school, I had experience of organizing numerous clubs (Sports and engineering), handling official documentation with outside organizations, and tracking discussions and outcomes from club meetings. I always made my clubs full of events and not lacking behind.

As secretary, I would first secure all of the previous sponsorships provided and search for ones that the Thai society member likes. I would keep external and internal meeting records organized. I will manage emails and reply to inquiries and requests efficiently in a professional or casual manner.

In addition to becoming a secretary, I plan to work vigorously with the events team to create fun and memorable social events, from casual pubs and dinners to large Thai cultural events, in order to make the society lively and up-to-date.

So yes, I’m ready to become the person to keep the Thai society efficient and up-to-date behind the scenes while also providing you guys with a lively, Thai cultural, and fun vibe.
