The role of secretary generally involves organising people and answering a lot of questions about the club. There is a lot of emailing involved; however this is not the only job! The secretary has to be on top of all of the events happening with the club throughout the semester in order to send the weekly, trip and social emails as well as completing other smaller jobs here and there. Also, being secretary involves organising waiting lists for trips and ensuring that the trip sheets are up to date when changes are made! The role is relatively flexible, however many of these jobs do need to be done weekly and you need to keep a track of everything that is going on! If you're crazy about being organised, love to send emails and answering all kinds of questions that people have about the club, then the role of secretary will be well suited to you!
