As a BSc Accounting and Finance undergraduate at Leeds, I have spent my academic life mastering the technical skills required to manage budget and ensure financial compliance.
However, I believe a great Treasurer does more than just balance spreadsheets, they actively enable the society's vision to come to life.
Over the past year, I have been deeply embedded in our ecosystem. Through competing in the Enactus regional qualifiers hosted by BDO UK, I gained firsthand experience pitching social enterprise startups to industry experts. This taught me exactly what it takes to design a self-sustaining business model that maximises social impact while remaining financially viable. Furthermore, my recent completion of the LUBS AI Business Initiator Certificate equips me to introduce tech-forward tools to streamline our administrative workflows. Vote Orlando!
