Hi everyone I'm John, I study philosophy. I've been involved with Art Soc for multiple years and last year was Social Secretary. I loved being on committee and would love to return as your Treasurer! This year I've been President of Photo Soc (a new society that I helped form) and was amazing to work on all the events including the collab event with Art Soc where we did cyanotype prints- which was so much fun! On Art Soc committee I loved being active with ideas in committee meetings and helping with life drawing, and running workshops and socials. I will continue to promote a culture of accessibility and inclusivity within the society, which Art Soc is amazing for as a welcoming space for art- no matter what degree you study or your background. (Recently attended the sensory and mindfulness workshop and also life drawing which were super chill!) Alongside engaging new members with Art Soc I also want to look at using our resources to increase capacities for events which sell out fast- so more members can be involved. I bring experience and knowledge from being on multiple committees and am very well versed with LUU processes and specifically how to manage society finances. I will be a friendly face at events I love all types of art and talking about art with everyone! :)
