As the Head of Media and Communications at Leeds Policy Institute (LPI), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing and communication strategies of the organisation. Reporting to the committee, the Head of Media and Communications is responsible for managing LPI's social media presence, organising social events, facilitating communication within the committee, and contributing to the overall direction of the think tank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Management: Utilise LPI's main social media platforms - LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram - to promote reports, op-eds, events, and activities related to the think tank. Tailor content for each platform, following specific guidelines.
• Social Event Coordination: Organise and host social events for LPI members, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Prioritise member care and engagement during socials, balancing the event's objectives with the enjoyment and satisfaction of attendees.
• Design and Approval: Oversee the design process for social media posts, ensuring alignment with LPI's branding and messaging. Collaborate with team members or external designers to create engaging and visually appealing content. Seek approval from the committee before publishing posts on social media platforms.
• Committee Communication: Keep the committee informed of progress and developments in media and communications activities. Facilitate open communication channels within the committee, encouraging collaboration and feedback on media strategies and initiatives.
