Hi everyone! I’m Myra Vaish, a second-year law student, coffee enthusiast, and self-declared chaos coordinator – and I’m thrilled to be running for Secretary of Heelz Society.

Coming from India, I’ve grown up in a culture that’s vibrant, loud, and deeply rooted in community – all things I’ve brought with me to Leeds. I’m passionate about creating safe, empowering, and fun spaces for women and non-binary people to express themselves unapologetically – whether that’s through leadership, creativity, or good old-fashioned girl talk over coffee.

As someone who’s been heavily involved in social advocacy and creative expression – from theatre clubs and MUNS to NGO work and filmmaking – I know how to juggle tasks, plan events, and keep people engaged. I've worked behind the scenes, under pressure, and in front of crowds – and I thrive in all three.

Organisation is my love language (I make lists for my lists), and as Secretary, I’d bring that same energy to Heelz. Expect clear communication, timely updates, and a calendar full of events that are empowering, inclusive, and fun. Whether it’s collaborating on events, amplifying member voices, or simply keeping us all on track, I’ll be the one making sure no detail slips through the cracks.

But beyond the planner and the spreadsheets, I bring passion. I believe in Heelz as more than a society – it’s a space where we uplift each other, show up, and yes – slay while doing it. I want to help take that to the next level.
