Yoga has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember.

Growing up in a spiritual commune in Devon and creating mini yoga YouTube videos as a child to now, at 20, combining yoga with meditation, it’s been a long journey of growth, healing, and deep self discovery.
What began as a fun activity for me as a child has been transformed into a powerful, holistic practice that connects mind and body and more importantly, people.

As a candidate for this role, I envision guiding our society in a direction that deepens our shared practice while building a stronger sense of community. I aim to expand opportunities for learning and connection we can introduce not only regular weekly sessions but also immersive experiences like retreats abroad, where we can explore our practice in new and enriching environments.
I also would like to grant the opportunity for gendered classes . I have had many discussions with my male friends who practice yoga but are too afraid to join classes ; most of their responses was that it was very female dominated . It is important to encourage both genders , male and female to participate in activities , allowing individuals to feel comfortable in a space separate to home (Promoting diversity and inclusion is a core value I hold dear. )
I will ensure all compliance documents are submitted on time and that society operations run smoothly both weekly and monthly.

I will also take the lead in communicating with our yoga teachers to organise and adapt our class schedule as needed, staying flexible and responsive to everyone’s needs.
Chairing meetings with the committee and creating a space that encourages open communication and collaboration, fostering an inclusive space where every voice is heard.

Yoga is for every body and every mind, and I will work to ensure our community reflects that truth in both spirit and action.
Our society has the potential to be more than a timetable of classes; it can be a space where we teach each other, grow together, and feel seen and supported.
