I would love to be considered for the position of secretary of yoga society, i love doing yoga and would really like to be more involved in the society. I enjoy organising and planning events so think secretary would be the perfect position for me!

Hiya, I’m Holly and I’m running for next year’s Secretary. You might have not seen me as much this year while I’ve been on placement, but I’m excited to return for my final year and to get as involved as I can with the society.

I’ve been practicing yoga for over seven years and joined the Yoga Society in my second year of Uni. I found it so welcoming and inclusive for all levels. I loved meeting new people, trying different types of yoga, improving my strength and flexibility, working on mindfulness, and managing my stress and emotional wellbeing. Even now while working, I take time to practice yoga every day as I’ve noticed huge benefits to my physical and mental health.

As a highly organised person with a lot of experience completing admin tasks, I feel as though I would be a great fit for the role or secretary. My current job has taught me a lot about planning and communication, and has given me the confidence to take on a role like this. I also live with the Secretary for Volleyball so I can learn a lot of organisational skills and tips from her!☺️

I am eager to support the yoga society but working closely with other committee members, communicating with other members of the society and keeping track of documents and meetings so that everything can continue to run smoothly and efficiently.
