Hi all!!

My name is Nelly and I have been a vegetarian since 2018 and a vegan since 2021. I would love to help nurture this society and the plant-based community at uni by being the VegSoc secretary in the coming year.

I am a third-year student working towards an integrated masters in physics, and first became a VegSoc member in my first year of Uni. I have always felt this is a super welcoming and friendly society and a great way to meet like-minded people (over a lot of yummy vegan food) and would love to continue creating this environment in the coming year and continue building the community.

I helped manage the socials for the VegSoc insta in the second half of my second year and I can definitely step up to the plate of now being your secretary. I am very organised (still yet to apply for an extension or mitigating circumstances) and responding to emails is my favourite form of productive procrastination so I think this will position me really well for this role.

I look forward to contributing to such a great society and making VegSoc great for yet another year running!
