Hello guys, my name’s Finn. Next year will be my 6th year as part of the boxing club. I was secretary in the third year and treasurer in my fourth and fifth years. Its been a great year for the boxing club and I’m really proud to have been part of the committee overseeing some of the positive changes made. With many of the current committee members leaving us this year, it’s really important that someone is there to bridge the gap so there is a smooth transition from this year to the next which I will be able to do. With my time on the committee I also have lots of experience to bring to the role and will allow for efficient completion of the logistical sides of things and I know what it takes for the smooth running of the club. It’s super important for the treasurer of the club to be trustworthy and have integrity. I hope that my track record proves I’ve got these traits and voting for me will continue the successes of the club.

Currently studying Business Management in my 2nd year, I have been boxing since September and have been determined to attend sessions every week consistently ever since, as it is a sport that I haven’t had much exposure to prior to university, so I feel it is essential to give new members the best experience when they join the amazing team at LUABS. After meeting all the skilled boxers at tigers gym through sessions and socials I think I am finally ready to put myself forward for a role in the committee. Becoming the treasurer would allow me to put the quantitative skills into practice that I have been learning throughout my degree, and it will allow me to use my initiative to put forward smart decisions that will benefit all members in the society and will enable for more enjoyable sessions and socials! I would love to become the society treasurer as it is one of the essential roles that keeps the operations of the society afloat, I believe I have the perfect balance of skills and creativity that will allow me to make smart investment decisions whilst also managing the accounts efficiently and maintaining equipment levels and budgets. I’m excited to demonstrate my commitment to the society and I will always make myself available for sign ins at sessions throughout the academic year. I’m looking forward to getting back in the gym in the next academic year and meeting lots of new and familiar faces!
