Being President of Sexpression is in equal amounts super fun and a big responsibility. It will be your role to ensure the smooth running of the society and coordinate other members of the committee team, ensuring we can deliver some great informative sex ed sessions and continue to advocate for sex positivity and inclusivity at uni and in the wider community. It will be your job to make sure the rest of the committee are happy and well supported in their roles.

Skills and Qualities Required

- Knowledge of the society and charity (MUST be a pre-existing committee member)

- Passionate about sex ed

- Organisated

- Vision for where you want to lead Sexpression next year

Key Responsibilities

1. Calling meetings – but your Secretary compiles the agenda and minutes

2. Chairing meetings – ensure everything is covered and no-one dominates

3. Delegating tasks – you shouldn’t do everything yourself!

4. Understanding the broader picture – keep the vision and aims of the society in mind at all times

5. Understanding your responsibilities and legal ‘duty of care’ for the society’s activities

6. Being a spokesperson or figurehead – representing your society to students, the Students’ Union, the University and even the media!

7. Maintaining committee enthusiasm – if you’re not passionate, no-one else will be
