I’m Cady and I would like run for welfare officer.

As a member of FilSoc, I made many close friends from the society, and these people have become some of the most important individuals in my uni life. Filsoc has also made me feel welcomed, as everyone has been supportive and kind to me. Therefore, I hope to do the same for others next year, by helping them experience what I did: finding new friends and having fun in society.

I believe that I possess the necessary skills and experience to fulfil the role of a welfare officer. During my time as a student and science ambassador in college, I developed strong interpersonal skills such as effective communication, active listening, and enthusiasm. I’ve interacted with parents and students on numerous occasions to provide them with information. Additionally, my experience as a receptionist and mentor required me to have a friendly and an approachable attitude and respectfulness, which are important traits that a welfare officer needs. I have also been an active member of the Filsoc community, participating in almost all of its activities, and I am committed to promoting diversity and ensuring that future members feel welcome.
