But the day I walked up to that stall in Freshers week, something changed. I met people that were so welcoming, and said Hi to everyone! Smiled to all and welcomed me with open arms. Since that point I've engrained myself within our family; making friendships, memories and a relationship that I could never have done without the current committee's care, hospitality and support.

Someone in 5 months will walk up to that stall and feel just like me. Their anxieties laid bare and hopeful to meet someone like us. I want nothing more than for someone to feel how I felt that day and experience everything and more, I got from this family.

I believe as president, I could give this experience to not just Filipinos like us, but anyone who needed to feel like they belonged.
As president I would strive to maintain a welcoming, relaxed and open vibe to the society while also campaigning for an increase in kuya advice, events (FILIPINO FOOD MAKING CLASS ANYONE?!?) and more! I have experience in management roles in my time as an academic tutor, taekwondo coach and kuya for Chloe (The lovely individual also running for president :D.) My degree in psychology and qualification in counselling help me to communicate well with others and be a shoulder to turn to, as seen in my connections in societies like BCsoc and Filmsoc. I would use these goals/skills to help branch out and make us as a society well known, whether it be mixer events, charity work or gaining new members!

But most importantly I believe the most important thing that I bring is representation. This society is way bigger than me and I want this society to represent Filipino culture as a whole. For people to look and come to us as a place to chill, relax and have fun! Something that our families would be proud of.
