This new role is being introduced this year and replaces the events planner role and some additional responsibilities! This role may include monitoring and recording expenses associated with events alongside the treasurer, ensuring that all the social guidelines are followed and making events and any publicity materials related to the society as accessible and suitable as possible. Along with planning events and collaborating with the other relevant committee member to create posts for our social media, this role will also involve working as a primary contact for the society in terms of collaborations and opportunities. Some skills that would be a good fit for the role are good social skills and effective communication, the ability to network and maintain relationships on behalf of the society, a willingness to be a public face for the society and to be contacted in this regard.
