The treasurer oversees the society's finances, manages reimbursements and expenses, ensures that the funds from paid events are appropriately accounted for and allocates budgets during the planning of events. The treasurer is also responsible for maintaining our account with the LUU cash office, completing any financial training required, serving as the primary signatory to the account, and submitting any funding requests necessary. The following skills would be beneficial to candidates for this position: the ability to account for funds and maintain a record of this, a base level understanding of accounting and proficiency with numbers, effective communication with other members of the committee and society, the ability and willingness to research to ensure that the society can make the best use of resources possible and price any paid events in line with our ideals and financial wellbeing.
