Hi, my name is Sandy Horwell and I am currently a 4th year medicine student. My friends know that I am incredibly passionate about teaching, and love to advocate for high quality learning opportunities that meet you where you are.
I have loved being in the society this year, and thoroughly enjoyed teaching children about their bodies and answering whatever crazy questions they came up with!

I am currently doing my ESREP on 'Improving the Clinical Learning Environment', and I hope to be a Clinical Teaching Fellow in the future so that I can give back and support future students whilst they navigate the balance of studies and taking care of their own wellbeing.
I also coach students for medicine interviews with my own resources, free of charge, and have always received positive anonymous feedback that my teaching has improved confidence significantly.
Other society experience includes: LUUMDHC Media Secretary / Welfare Officer and LOGSoc Clinical Rep.

As your School Liason, I will be organised and committed to facilitating our fabulous teaching sessions, whilst maintaining and fostering good relationships with school staff to benefit the society long-term. I would consider myself as thoughtful and the kind of person team members feel they can come to if they need some help with their role.
