Hi, I’m Erin and I would love to be your Secretary for Teddy Bear Hospital! I have found volunteering with Teddy Bear Hospital extremely rewarding and would embrace the opportunity to be part of the committee to help spread its impact further.

As a second year medical student, I have a keen interest in promoting and teaching healthcare skills, and I really enjoy combining this with my passion for working with children and supporting our wider community. I have plenty of experience working with younger children as a volunteer student drama teacher and GCSE science tutor and have also worked with many different people in my part-time job at a fish and chip shop. As well as this, I have organised rehearsal schedules, coordinated shifts, and prepared sessions tailored to the needs of the students I tutor. Through these experiences, I have developed strong communication and organisational skills, and I feel confident in building positive relationships with both children and adults. I believe these skills would lend themselves well to the role, as I would be able to facilitate clear and effective communication within our society, and ensure visits run smoothly and efficiently.

Alongside this, I love working in a team and always strive to complete tasks to the best of my ability. I am approachable and eager to listen to other members’ ideas and concerns, and I value finding solutions that work for everyone. I would be a friendly, reliable and hard-working member of the committee, and I would love to take on a more active role within the society.
