Hi everyone, I’m Aleena and I would love to run for the position of President of the Teddy Bear Hospital this year.

Over the past year, I’ve had such an amazing experience being part of this society and attending multiple visits. Through these opportunities, I’ve learned so much, not only about engaging with children, but also about teamwork, adaptability, and the importance of creating a positive environment. One of the most rewarding parts has been seeing the children light up as they introduce their teddy bears by name, or the excitement on their faces when they answer a question correctly. Those small moments are genuinely magical, and they’ve been a huge motivation for me to apply for this role.
If elected as President, I would focus on strengthening communication and collaboration within the committee to ensure that every visit runs as smoothly as possible. This includes putting reliable backup plans in place so that last-minute dropouts don’t affect the quality of our sessions, allowing us to consistently deliver the best experience for the children.
I would also love to introduce more creative and interactive activities at each station, helping to keep the children even more engaged and making each visit feel dynamic and memorable. In addition, I would prioritise ensuring that both volunteers and leaders feel confident and well-prepared to handle any unexpected situations that might arise during the day.
Overall, I’m really passionate about this society and what it stands for, and I would be committed to building on its success while supporting every member of the team. Thank you so much for considering my application!
